BSc in Forestry

The BSc in Forestry develops graduates who appreciate the need to manage forested lands with due concern for forests as integrated ecological entities. The program focuses on utilization and management of forest resources while ensuring that sustainability and other social and cultural needs are met. Field school exercises provide training in technical aspects of forestry, including forest mensuration, engineering, ecology and silviculture.




A broad range of career opportunities exist for graduates. The program prepares students for careers as Registered Professional Foresters, accredited by CAPF, working in government or industrial organizations or as consultants. BSc in Forest Buissness Management

The Forest Business Management degree, jointly offered with the Faculty of Buissness is intended to prepare students for careers that also demand specialized knowledge in business management practices. The program provides you with broad educational foundations in forestry, ecology, engineering, and conservation. The business management component of this degree consists of introductory and advanced courses in business, including accounting, finance, marketing, and human resources.
