Wildife Ecology and Management
A Field of Study for students conducting research on wild plants and animals at the individual, population and/or community levels. It includes physiological, nutritional and behavioral ecology as well as dynamics of interacting populations. It could include a focus on impacts of forest harvest or land-use issues, particularly integration with energy development, forestry and agriculture. It could also involve analysis of subsistence and commercial wildlife utilization in relation to rural community development, indigenous knowledge and co-management of wildlife resources. It differs from Forest Biology & Management in that it includes a much wider variety of ecosystems or biomes, their associated wildlife, and resource management and extraction activities.
Application forms, scholarship information, and all additional information are available from the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research. Interested applicants should contact the researcher whose interest closely match theirs.
