Forest Hydrology

The forest hydrology lab at the University of Alberta's goal is to promote greater understanding of hydrology and eco-hydrology of forested landscapes through research and technology transfer to support sound management of Canadian and provincial forest and water resources. Our research is directed at advancing;

  • Fundamental understanding of hydrologic, micro-meteorological, and eco-hydrological processes in forests

  • Research targeting development of mangement practices and tools that incorporate this knowledge to improve forest resource management.

Students and faculty researchers in the forest hydrology lab are part of the Centre for Enhanced Forest Management and are committed to sound, scientifically based management of Alberta's forest resources. This web site highlights some of the current research and personnel in the lab.
